Permapave Curb Bioretention Systems
The Permapave Curb Bioretention System is an effective system for filtering stormwater runoff and is installed uphill immediately before stormwater collection pits. Bioretention systems are easily and economically retrofitted into almost every existing curb.
Systems can be designed to suit most required capture rates.
How Permapave Curb Bioretention Systems Work
Water flow along the gutter is diverted into the Curb Bioretention System during rainfall. It is then filtered and discharged either into the substrate returning to subterranean aquifers or directly into the adjoining stormwater collection pit.
The Permapave Curb Bioretention pit is filled with the appropriate filtration media and covered with a trafficable Permapave stormwater inlet grate, allowing land to retain its normal use after installation.
